Well, it didn't take long for both of us to be enthralled in the movie. It is not your typical vampire movie! It quickly became one of my favorites! I'm pretty sure Dan agrees.
So the other day I picked up the book. Now you need to understand something about me, I don't like reading. It's very boring. I have read VERY few books for leisure; mostly Nicolas Sparks. They have to captivate me right away.
If I hadn't seen the movie and if my friends were not telling me to just stick it out, that the book would get interesting, I would have stopped reading it after the first chapter. It was extremely boring and I barely picked it up when I had a few minutes to spare here and there.
Yesterday I was quite pleased with myself that I had made it through about 1/3 of the book. I even commented to Dan, who I'm sure thought I was silly to be so excited over something so minuscule. But he knows me, and he understands as his distaste for reading is even greater than mine.
Once I got past the mundaneness of the beginning chapters, I couldn't put the book down for very long. My face was buried in it most of the day. I did get a few things done, and I'm proud of my productivity despite my new obsession.
I finished the book and I'm trying to persuade myself to give it another week before throwing myself into the next book. I've never had this kind of interest in reading ... it's all very foreign to me.

Welcome to the madness that is called Twilight... Once you are hooked you are hooked. I wouldn't give it a week just go for it girl.
