Life is never boring

Where to start!? I guess I'll start with Dan. As I am sure you might be wondering what happened with his appointment. The CT showed that he has scoliosis. The good news is that it's not bad enough to need surgery, yet. The doc said to keep an eye on it but since Dan's done growing it shouldn't turn into a huge problem. It explains why his back hurts whenever he does anything too strenuous.

On another note, some of you know there was a good possibility Dan would go to Iraq for a year here in the near future. After AFPC contacted him and asked Dan if he was interested, we talked about it and decided that it would be good for his career and our family could handle the separation. Then it turned out they need a Top Secret. AFPC didn't think that would be a problem but the people in Iraq took to long to get back to AFPC so they went on to someone who already has their TS. It's kinda silly because Dan is in the process of getting his TS for another job that we've been waiting on. Oh well, everything works out for a reason and we are not complaining because he'll be home now. :)

Now, as for the other job. He's moving to Lackland AFB on 1 July. Don't ask me what he'll be doing, because I just barely figured out what he does here at Randolph AFB! LOL Something with the Inspector General and I think Information Assurance. But don't quote me on that. LOL I will see if I can get Dan on here to explain more. I would call and ask him but he's in a meeting.

We are more than likely going to stay put rather than move near Lackland. It'll be a commute for Dan but we like this area better. Plus the kids are settled here and if we can minimize the relocation part of this life for them, then we should do what we can.

The kids will be off to camp on Monday. Dan has taken that week off so we'll have some us time. Don't know what we'll do with all that time but I'm sure we'll figure something out. :)
